A Pretty Nursery

My sister, Becca, is pregnant again.  She was here for a visit last weekend and we spent, oh, a good long time, at the fabric store picking out fabric and trim for her new nursery.  It’s going to be great.  But picking out the fabric and designing the crib skirt and valance took me back two years to the nursery we designed for my niece, who is almost 2.  I made all the fabric pieces for that room, and even though it was 2 years ago it is so pretty I wanted to share.Becca likes things simple when it comes to color, so the 2-color look was perfect for this room.  And the fabric is so fun it really stands on it’s own.  We had fun choosing which birds would go on which section of the crib skirt and valance and bumper, and the blue velvet added a depth and richness to the pieces.  It looks so pretty all put together!

When I get this new nursery stuff made, and she gets it all put together I’ll post some pictures, but here’s a sneak peek of what we’re working with.
